Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov was born on January 31, 1900, near Serbtzy, Macedonia.

At the age of 17, he met Peter Deunov , a Bulgarian spiritual master, who by then was already quite famous in his country and whose reputation had transcended both European countries and the United States. Within a large community of followers, united in the White Brotherhood, Master Peter Deunov imparted his teachings to his disciple Mikhaël, in a close exchange.

In 1937, facing the threat of war, Peter Deunov asked his disciple to leave for France, in order to preserve and continue his work, spreading the Teachings of the White Brotherhood.

In 1959, having worked for more than twenty years on the task entrusted to him by Peter Deunov, Mikhaël Aïvanhov traveled to India, where he received the name “Omraam” from the spiritual Master Keem Karoli Baba, under circumstances that he never fully revealed.

Over the course of nearly 50 years, he gave thousands of public lectures and private interviews, initially in Paris, and then at the Centers of the Universal White Brotherhood at Bonfin, near Fréjus in southern France, and at the Videlinata Center, near Vevey, in Switzerland.

Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov left the earthly plane in December 1986.
